HAIX shoes are 100% Made in Europe. For us, this is not just lip service, but lived practice. When it says "Made in Europe" on a HAIX shoe, we assure you that it was made exclusively at our production sites in Mainburg and Mala Subotica, Croatia. Both plants are among the most modern shoe manufacturing facilities in the world.

Experience has shown that the Commander GTX has a normal fit. We therefore recommend that you choose your usual size.
Excellent wearing comfort that does not interfere with your work.
The Commander GTX is an all-season model, so it can be worn both in summer and winter. The shoe is breathable and waterproof thanks to the Gore-Tex membrane. With the help of our Climate System, moisture is transported from the inside of the shoe to the ventilation openings. This prevents sweat from accumulating, especially in the warmer months.
The Commander GTX defies both colder and warmer temperatures.
Thanks to the two-zone lacing of the Commander GTX, the lacing can be quickly fixed and the shoe can be optimally adjusted to the foot. The lacing is first adjusted and fixed in the instep area and can then be variably adjusted in the shaft area. This combination provides support and stability.
The Commander GTX can be put on and taken off quickly and easily, so that the focus can be fully on the work.
The Commander GTX is suitable for hiking thanks to its well-cushioned and non-slip sole, which provides stability, comfort and safety. It is also waterproof and breathable thanks to the Gore-Tex membrane.

We produce in a UK shoe size system. The distance between our half UK sizes is only a few millimetres. This makes it more likely to find exactly the right shoe length.
Half UK sizes differ in length by only a few millimetres.
You can simply wash the dirty shoes with water and a brush. Please do not dry the wet shoes (even if they are wet on the inside) on an open fire, a hot stove or a heater. This will change the shape of the shoe. Simply remove the footbed and stuff the shoes with newspaper or use a shoe tree. Then allow the shoes to air dry slowly. We recommend washing the footbed regularly at 30°. In general, it is best to remove the footbed from the shoes after every wear to ensure optimal re-drying.
Simply clean it with a brush and water and let it air dry.
From experience, the Commander GTX is a normal size. We therefore recommend that you choose the usual size.

Tighter fit than its predeccessor
After relying on the absolutely brilliant KSK3000's for over a decade of use and abuse, it was a no-brainer to choose the Commander GTX as their successor - especially after customer service… After relying on the absolutely brilliant KSK3000's for over a decade of use and abuse, it was a no-brainer to choose the Commander GTX as their successor - especially after customer service confirmed that the fit is the same. Unfortunately, contrary to the confirmation, the Commander GTXs are a much narrower fit than the KSK3000s. The toe box is reduced, the shape is sharper, and the width at the ball of the foot is much tighter. No doubt there are feet in the world for which these would fit well, and overall the quality and workmanship of the Commander GTX is top notch. For someone with a narrow foot, these can be perfect. Too bad for me, these are not the direct successors of the KSK3000s I hoped for.
