Different insoles are available for Black Eagle Athletic 2.0 V T mid/desert to increase or reduce the volume in the shoe. For this purpose, we have developed a slightly thicker insole for narrow feet and a slightly thinner insole for wider feet.
Our Vario-Wide-Fit-System allows you to adjust the volume in the shoe.
The Black Eagle Athletic 2.0 V T mid/desert has been tested according to the standard DGUV 112-191 (BGR 191) and is therefore approved for orthopaedic insoles.
This allows the Black Eagle Athletic 2.0 V T mid/desert to be adapted even more optimally to the foot and to support its anatomical structure.

The differences between our various Black Eagle Athletic models can be taken from the item description. Some models are made of suede or nubuck leather, others have a Gore-Tex membrane that makes the shoes waterproof.

While the Athletic models have a somewhat plainer colour scheme, Adventure models are designed with bright, eye-catching colours. There are no functional differences.

The T in the item description stands for textile. Accordingly, the Black Eagle Athletic 2.0 V T mid/desert does not have a Gore-Tex membrane and is therefore not waterproof. If you are looking for waterproof shoes, the item description must contain the acronym GTX.

We produce in a UK shoe size system. The distance between our half UK sizes is only a few millimetres. This makes it more likely to find exactly the right shoe length.
Half UK sizes differ in length by only a few millimetres.
You can simply wash the dirty shoes with water and a brush. Please do not dry the wet shoes (even if they are wet on the inside) on an open fire, a hot stove or a heater. This will change the shape of the shoe. Simply remove the footbed and stuff the shoes with newspaper or use a shoe tree. Then allow the shoes to air dry slowly. We recommend washing the footbed regularly at 30°. In general, it is best to remove the footbed from the shoes after every wear to ensure optimal re-drying.
Simply clean it with a brush and water and let it air dry.
From experience, the Black Eagle Athletic 2.0 V T mid/desert is a normal size. We therefore recommend that you choose the usual size.
Experience has shown that the shoe fits normally.
The DIN EN ISO 20347 standard is an European standard for occupational footwear that has been revised. What was previously known as safety class O2, which is permanently waterproof, will henceforth be classified as safety class O6.

Highly recommended boots
This is my second review of these boots. The first was after wearing them for a couple of walks, and I found them a little tight and uncomfortable. However, since them I've persevered and they are now settled down. So I thought I'd add this to be fair. They are the best and most comfortable boots I've ever worn! It's like walking on my slippers! No problems when walking 20 miles plus at a time, on mountain and hill paths. My feet don't sweat as much as when wearing Gore-Tex and the bootsdry very quickly if you get them wet. Highly recommended.

A very good robust boot
I bought these as a replacement for my Haix High Liability Boots I've worn for about 5 years now. I know they aren't waterproof but I don't like Gore tex, but they dry out really well. My only fault with them is they don't seem to come in different width fitting, my HL Boots are a wide fit. These aren't and the "banding" around the foot is quite tight for me. I'm hoping it will give a little, but at the moment they aren't as comfortable as my other Hair boots. However they are much lighter, (400 gms per boot). To make the option of different width fittings would be a good idea.

Excellent pair of boots
I’ve worn Haix boots for the past 5 years. I have Achilles’ tendon issues and I find these are the only boots I can walk any distance in. Fantastic footwear.

Nice looking boot, comfy but both boots leaked water when placed under a tap. My feet got soaked. Goretex didn’t work
