Different insoles are available for Black Eagle Athletic 2.0 V GTX high/sage to increase or reduce the volume in the shoe. For this purpose, we have developed a slightly thicker insole for narrow feet and a slightly thinner insole for wider feet.
Our Vario-Wide-Fit-System allows you to adjust the volume in the shoe.
The Black Eagle Athletic 2.0 V GTX high/sage has been tested according to the standard DGUV 112-191 (BGR 191) and is therefore approved for orthopaedic insoles.
This allows the Black Eagle Athletic 2.0 V GTX high/sage to be adapted even more optimally to the foot and to support its anatomical structure.

Thanks to the two-zone lacing of the Black Eagle Athletic 2.0 V GTX high/sage, the lacing can be quickly fixed and the shoe can be optimally adjusted to the foot. The lacing is first adjusted and fixed in the instep area and can then be variably adjusted in the shaft area. This combination provides support and stability.

We produce in a UK shoe size system. The distance between our half UK sizes is only a few millimetres. This makes it more likely to find exactly the right shoe length.

You can simply wash the dirty shoes with water and a brush. Please do not dry the wet shoes (even if they are wet on the inside) on an open fire, a hot stove or a heater. This will change the shape of the shoe. Simply remove the footbed and stuff the shoes with newspaper or use a shoe tree. Then allow the shoes to air dry slowly. We recommend washing the footbed regularly at 30°. In general, it is best to remove the footbed from the shoes after every wear to ensure optimal re-drying.
Simply clean it with a brush and water and let it air dry.
From experience, the Black Eagle Athletic 2.0 V GTX high/sage is a normal size. We therefore recommend that you choose the usual size.
Experience has shown that the shoe fits normally.

Supremely Comfortable from New
This is my 3rd pair of the High Haix boots and my 2nd pair of the Black Eagle, the other pair being the Desert with side zipper. The boots are extermely comfortable, warm, flexible and don't… This is my 3rd pair of the High Haix boots and my 2nd pair of the Black Eagle, the other pair being the Desert with side zipper. The boots are extermely comfortable, warm, flexible and don't require break in, they wear well too. They are by some distance the best boots I've had. My only negative is that they are aren't totally waterproof. They will keep you dry for a few miles in the rain, but I wouldn't use them for prolonged hikes in boggy ground for instance. That doesn't surprise me or take away from the boots overall qualities and is what I expected. If anybody is wondering about the comparison to the desert boot, there is little to choose regarding comfort and support. What you get with the GTX is the additional waterproofing.

Great pair of boots
I have had various boots meindle bates now have tried Haix and they are really comfortable light pretty much everything I want from a military styled boot. I will be buying further products.

Excellent Boots
This is my fifth pair of these. I use them everyday and they get a real hammering, so I need good footwear. These are light, waterproof, well cushioned and breathable. The best boots I've owned, along with the Black Eagle Leather version too.

Outstandingly light, flexible & comfortable
I've yet to try these boots out on a really wet day yet, so can't comment on their waterproof qualities. I own a pair of the similarly designed desert boots and found them to be the best boots I've ever worn. As stated these boots are very comfortable and surprisingly warm for a desert type boot (if worn with a medium to thick sock. I highly recommend them The colour is more muted than I expected and they don't stand out like lurid trainers either, perfect for day to day wear or less arduaous walking. The quick lock system on the laces took me a few minutes to figure out but once mastered is excellent enabling the boot to be put on, removed or adjusted very quickly too

Good summer boot
Bought these boots in summer of 2019 , I needed something lightweight and waterproof , for a mix of dog walking and Airsoft so nothing to taxing , my first pair let water in after there first encounter with long wet grass , needless to say they were replaced quite quickly by haix (great customer service) . Second pair didn't really see any real wet conditions until end of Oct . They lasted about 2 hours in the wet woodland before becoming water-logged , took about 1 week to fully dry out . Also the fabric on top has a small tear from walking through bushes . All this being said there are very very comfortable , and maybe I'm asking to much of them. Would recommend as a summer boot , definitely not for wet conditions .

Great light boots, feel more like sneakers but in a good way
Flexible yet stiff enough when needed. Lacing system works really well, it's fast to tighten/loosen as needed, although I would like to have the 2-zone lacing system. I also love the sage green color. Durability wise we'll have to wait and see
