Different insoles are available for Black Eagle Athletic 2.0 N GTX mid to increase or reduce the volume in the shoe. For this purpose, we have developed a slightly thicker insole for narrow feet and a slightly thinner insole for wider feet.
Our Vario-Wide-Fit-System allows you to adjust the volume in the shoe.
The Black Eagle Athletic 2.0 N GTX mid has been tested according to the standard DGUV 112-191 (BGR 191) and is therefore approved for orthopaedic insoles.
This allows the Black Eagle Athletic 2.0 N GTX mid to be adapted even more optimally to the foot and to support its anatomical structure.
HAIX shoes are 100% Made in Europe. For us, this is not just lip service, but lived practice. The differences between our various Black Eagle Athletic models can be taken from the item description. Some models are made of suede or nubuck leather, others have a Gore-Tex membrane that makes the shoes waterproof.

While the Athletic models have a somewhat plainer colour scheme, Adventure models are designed with bright, eye-catching colours. There are no functional differences.

We produce in a UK shoe size system. The distance between our half UK sizes is only a few millimetres. This makes it more likely to find exactly the right shoe length.

You can simply wash the dirty shoes with water and a brush. Please do not dry the wet shoes (even if they are wet on the inside) on an open fire, a hot stove or a heater. This will change the shape of the shoe. Simply remove the footbed and stuff the shoes with newspaper or use a shoe tree. Then allow the shoes to air dry slowly. We recommend washing the footbed regularly at 30°. In general, it is best to remove the footbed from the shoes after every wear to ensure optimal re-drying.
Simply clean it with a brush and water and let it air dry.
From experience, the Black Eagle Athletic 2.0 N GTX mid is a normal size. We therefore recommend that you choose the usual size.
Experience has shown that the shoe fits normally.
The DIN EN ISO 20347 standard is an European standard for occupational footwear that has been revised. What was previously known as safety class O2, which is permanently waterproof, will henceforth be classified as safety class O6.

Excellent walking and adventure boots
I've been using Haix boots at work for a few years, where they were brilliant, especially on long searches on wet days over uneven ground, also in rescues in rough terrain. They are firm and supportive and oh, so comfortable and lasted for years of abuse. So when it came to getting a pair for leisure, it wasn't a difficult choice. The Eagle Athletic 2.0 GTX were really good value, even with the VAT and shipping and comfortable from the off. I would suggest wearing them around the house for a couple of days to bed them in before going on a long trek though. They look good too, in a subtle way, not shouting "look at me I'm a hiker!".

Great boot
This is a great boot. Super lightweight, extremely comfortable. Perfect for military use for either PT or an in camp boot. The toggle is better than I thought. The sole has zero slip in wet conditions.

Very good
Been looking for a decent pair of walking boots and a friend in the uk special forces recommended them. My girlfriend and I purchased a pair each and we were both amazed at the the comfort, durability and our feet keep dry in very wet and muddy conditions. Already recommended to a few other friends who are looking for walking boots.Good fit, particularly enjoyed the wide fit so my toes could move a little.

Good boots but definitely not 'waterproof'
HAIX Black Eagle Athletic 2.0 N GTX mid - Surprisingly comfortable for first outing, think they will be a very comfortable long distance walking/hunting boot. Bit disappointed that after 1 hour of walking across wet grass in light rain and through a few big puddles that the very front of the toe was damp upon inspection when back home.

last year a purchesd the boot they retail for the construction industry and after working over 20 years as an architectural stonemason with my feet shuffling around in mid range dealer boots firstly they have remained virturually intact except some minor degratationg on the stiching considering the amount of lime,cement and other destructive materials they are exposed to most boots last me about 6 months tops days on ladders or slapping floors and they still retain their waterproof cabability but the real pro is comfort if you are lucky you will hsve 8 hours a day at work and 8 in your bed dont skimp on either comfort improves agility and makes you less tired although the con of the high price might put you off i garuntee that after a few weeks of wearing these you will say to yourself why did i do that to my feet for all those years ps break them in gently with short periods of time initally

Just a real good quality light weight boot. Very comfortable from the off.
I go through boots very quickly and so far they seem to be lasting well. Warm and dry. No odours. I really like the toggle for doing up the laces.

Great pair of boots
Ordered some work boots from Haix about 2yrs ago and was very impressed, the longest lasting pair that I've ever owned! So when I needed new hiking boots went straight to the website to order some. Wasn't disappointed, great fit, great design, arrived quickly and comfy to wear. Really like the quick fastening laces and that they tuck in away at front of the boots so they don't get all muddy.
